Loads and shedding frequency

Published 9 Jul 2026 · Updated 4 Aug 2026

Drag, lift, and Strouhal scored from predicted fields, applied identically to the model and the reference simulation on held-out geometries.

Across the published horizon ladder the model reproduces the loads to 0.5–1.6% (force RelL2 0.001–0.016). The measured shedding frequency on the published comparison is 0.128. Loads here are model-derived diagnostics, not wind-tunnel measurements.

Aero-quantity evaluation: drag and lift coefficients for solver and model, and field versus load error
Drag, lift, and error location across three held-out geometries (Re 104 to 355) · the mid-horizon hump lives in the vorticity phase (0.052), not the loads (0.005)

These evaluations do not certify Reyn Studio, prove accuracy outside the tested equations and shapes, or qualify every model bundle. Relative L2 and load errors are diagnostics, not engineering approval. Research 3D evidence is the 32³ one-jump obstacle operator (RelL2 0.052 at 128 steps, 32,768 cells). CAD Run voxels each case to the model's declared grid. This hub covers Reyn's published fluid-model research, not the permanent scope of the company.
